Western Washington is experiencing one of the most challenging weather events in years. With historic river flooding, widespread road closures, and evacuation orders across Snohomish and King Counties, our hearts are with everyone affected. Many of our neighbors in Monroe, Tukwila, and the surrounding towns are dealing with rising water, unexpected detours, and a lot of uncertainty.
As a business rooted in both communities, we take these moments seriously. With locations near rivers that are either already over their banks or expected to crest, we’ve been closely monitoring emergency updates and prioritizing the safety of our team and customers.

Earlier today, we sent our employees home a bit early out of an abundance of caution. Both APC Auto Spa locations will be open again tomorrow, and we will continue watching conditions throughout the day to ensure everyone stays safe.
What's Happening Across Our Region
Back-to-back storm systems have pushed multiple rivers - including the Snohomish, Skykomish, Snoqualmie, Green, and Stillaguamish - to record or near-record levels. Many areas near Monroe and throughout Snohomish County are facing severe flooding, with road closures and evacuation alerts still active. Travel through King County has also been heavily impacted, particularly near the Green and Duwamish Rivers.
In Snohomish County, the Evergreen State Fairgrounds is providing emergency stabling and support for displaced animals. In South King County, families affected by flooding are being supported through Regional Animal Services of King County partner shelters, with the Enumclaw Expo Center / King County Fairgrounds historically serving as an emergency stabling location for horses and livestock during major Green River and White River flood events. Both regions have stepped up to help families and animals stay safe through rapidly changing conditions.

APC Auto Spa Operations & Availability during Flooding
Both our Monroe and Tukwila shops remain safe, and we’re prepared to welcome customers again tomorrow. If you have an appointment and are dealing with detours, delays, or flooding in your area, please reach out - your safety will always come first.
If anything changes with access or operational hours, we will reach out directly to anyone scheduled to ensure you have the information you need.

How We’re Supporting Our Community
We understand that not everyone has the ability to avoid the roads today, and some may be navigating evacuation zones or closures. If you’re impacted and need a temporary place to park a vehicle or simply need a dry place to regroup, reach out - we’ll do our best to help.
A Reminder for Anyone Driving Today:
Please do not drive through standing water, even if it looks shallow. Floodwater can be far deeper than it appears, and conditions can change quickly. Standing water can:
Hide washed-out pavement
Sweep vehicles off the road
Damage engines and electrical systems
Leave you stranded in fast-moving water
Contain debris, contaminants, or downed power lines
If a road is covered in water, the safest choice is always to turn around and find an alternate route.
We’re Here for You - Today and Through the Recovery
This has been a difficult week for many across Western Washington. Homes, farms, and daily routines have all been disrupted. As the water recedes and communities begin cleanup efforts, our team will remain here to support our customers and neighbors however we can.

"A simple moment of calm and beauty serves as a reminder that even in the toughest stretches of weather, brighter days always return."
If you need anything in the coming days - whether service-related or simply support - you’re always welcome to reach out.
